Trebbiano

Trebbiano

Our interpretation of the most common white wine in Abruzzo. We try to be "different" from the others, starting from a particular attention in the cultivation of the vineyard and in the treatment of the grapes in the winemaking process.

Mode of service:
The slightly savory taste of this wine makes it perfect to accompany white meats and fish dishes, mature or semi-mature cheeses served with jams or honey. Serving temperature 12 °C.

Tasting notes:
Floral notes and fruit aromas. A well-structured wine with a mineral, gentle and persistent taste.

Notes from the winemaker:
Our Trebbiano d'Abruzzo comes from vineyards located about 800 meters from the sea with exposure to the South and South-East. The proximity to the sea gives it minerality and exaltation of the perfumes. Aging for 6 months in stainless steel containers and a short period in the bottle complete its refinement.

The origins of the company date back to the 1950s, when Rocco (for all "Zì Rock"), progenitor of the family, bought his first land in Tollo dedicated mainly to the cultivation of table grapes and only partly for wine grapes, created especially for the needs of family and friends.

Business went well and Rocco bought the lands of the Feudi Ortonesi, which were dedicated to the cultivation of wine grapes. Rocco believed so much in the potential of wine that he was one of the founding members of the cooperative of direct growers of Tollo, the small village in Abruzzo where our cellar is also located today.

Since his youth Antonio, Rocco's son has worked alongside his father and learned all the secrets to get the most out of the land. In the 70s Antonio bought from the noble Signora Bianca of Pescara, the beautiful Tenuta Nicante in Fara Filorum Petri, at the foot of Monte Maiella.

The years passed until in 2009 Antonio with his sons Giacomo and Rocco built the family winery with the mission of producing quality wines using only the grapes from their own "vineyards" and sharing their passion with the enthusiasts of good drinking .

Just like every other village in central-southern Italy, our family also has its own nickname: in the local dialect they call us "Li Ture" (the Bulls) and to respect the traditions we have chosen this noble and strong animal as the symbol of our cellar.
